Toilet Training
Here are some tips to help toilet train your new puppy:
Anticipate
Take your puppy to the area you want him to toilet every 2 hours, after meals and upon waking up.
Be vigilant
Watch for signs that your puppy needs to go to the toilet. This could include sniffing and restlessness.
Confine
Keep your puppy where it can be watched. In a confined area you can manage toileting habits – setting yourself and puppy up for success.
Praise
Praise with your voice and small food treats when the puppy goes in the appropriate place to encourage it to repeat.
